4th of July Heat and An Update on Beryl

Relief of the last few days ends today;Heat rebuilds for the 4th of July Weekend; Beryl continues its destructive path.

The 4th of July Weekend will get off to a warm start as a strong ridge rebuilds into the Mid-Atlantic and deepens over the weekend. This will cause surface temperatures to rise above 90 degrees and heat indices to rise above 100. Also, strong storms will accompany the heat as a cold front will come through later Friday which will temporarily relax the hot weekend but it will not provide full relief.

Also, Beryl continues his destructive path along the Caribbean and is now headed past Jamacia and targeting the Yucatan Peninsula with the possibility of Beryl impacting the coastal Gulf region by the weekend.
