Change in Annual Precipitation
Over the next several years Delaware is forecast to have more EXTREME weather precipitation days due to severe weather. Right now, Delaware sees 2 days of at least 2 inches of rain through extreme weather events. Projected change in annual precipitation is due to increase at least of 5%.
Due to several factors this will increase an additional .5 days to 1 day each year (2.5-3 days per year) of at least 2 inches of rain. This will dramatically increase days flooding risks across the state
